The Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) basketball crushed the host Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA), 80-50 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against West Branch (West Branch, IA). The Bears go into the River Valley test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, West Branch was trounced by Beckman (Dyersville, IA), 60-44, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Lisbon for a non-league test on Thursday, December 1. Tipton will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 54-44 non-league win over East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Lions record now stands at 2-0.
