The East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) basketball crushed the visiting University Lab Cubs (Baton Rouge, LA), 69-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Griffins go into the 5A District 5 contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Dutchtown triumphed over Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA), 50-47, in a non-league contest.
The Cubs (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA). The Skippers enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Mandeville was routed by Salmen (Slidell, LA), 56-51, in a non-league contest.
