Harlan Hawks (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), 61-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Harlan upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Taft (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Raiders in a 6A Region IV District 29 bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Taft lost 52-33 in their recent league bout against Jay (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Rangers clash with the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Smithson Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 50-47 non-league win over Harlingen (Harlingen, TX).
