The Jonesboro Eagles basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Meridian Yellowjackets to 27 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walnut Springs for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Jonesboro will meet a Hornets team coming off a 53-35 league loss to Evant (Evant, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 1-2.

The Yellowjackets (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Gorman (Gorman, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 10-0 record. In their last contest, Gorman ran past Santo (Santo, TX), 54-46, in a non-league contest.
