Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI), 64-16 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Oilers travel to Reese (Reese, MI) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Reese lost 28-19 in their recent non-league bout against Ubly (Ubly, MI)

Next up, the Bluejays clash with the Gladwin Flying G's (Gladwin, MI) in a Jack Pine bout, on Friday, December 2. Shepherd will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Flying G's go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 43-9 non-league win over Ogemaw Heights (West Branch, MI).
