Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), 68-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sun Valley upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hough (Cornelius, NC) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Hough lost 44-39 in their recent non-league bout against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC)

Next up, the Colts play the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. West Stanly will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 65-50 non-league win over North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
