North Carolina High School Basketball - Cloudland ripped by Avery County

November 29, 2022: Newland, NC 28657

The Avery County Vikings basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Cloudland Highlanders to 22 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. Avery County will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 57-32 non-league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-0.

The Highlanders (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Mitchell triumphed over Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 53-33, in a non-league contest.
