The Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix crushed the visiting Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans basketball squad by a margin of 64-25 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Phoenix (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Gulf (New Port Richey, FL). The Buccaneers go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Gulf walloped Pasco (Dade City, FL), 66-14, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Saint Stephen's Episcopal for a non-league test on Friday, December 2. Winthrop College Prep Academy will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 41-17 non-league loss to St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg, FL). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.
