Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA), 44-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Christopher upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars host Leigh (San Jose, CA) to clash with the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Leigh won 84-49 in their recent non-league bout against Silver Creek (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Chieftains clash with the Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Palma will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
