Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mintz Christian Academy Lions (Roseboro, NC), 58-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Neuse Charter upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cougars host New Life Camp (Raleigh, NC) to play the Storm in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 2-0. New Life Camp won 63-59 in their recent non-league bout against Wilson Christian Academy (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Lions play the Grace Christian Wildcats (Loris, SC) in a bout, on Friday, December 2. Mintz Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 35-31 league loss to Temple Christian (Rockingham, NC).
