Augusta Southeastern Suns (Augusta, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rushville-Industry Rockets (Rushville, IL), 51-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Augusta Southeastern upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Suns host Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL) to play the Saukees in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Saukees come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Pittsfield won 44-42 in their recent non-league bout against Mendon Unity (Mendon, IL)

Next up, the Rockets play the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans (Bushnell, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Rushville-Industry will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 57-34 non-league loss to Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL).
