Gunnison Valley Bulldogs (Gunnison, UT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT), 51-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gunnison Valley upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Uintah (Vernal, UT) to play the Utes in a non-league bout on Thursday, November 30. The Utes go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Uintah won 76-59 in their recent non-league bout against Moffat County (Craig, CO)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Tintic Miners (Eureka, UT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Piute will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Miners go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 66-53 non-league win over Milford (Milford, UT).
