The Gaston Greyhounds basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Lyle/Wishram Cougars to 15 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sheridan for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Gaston will battle a Spartans team coming off a 58-34 non-league loss to Willamina (Willamina, OR). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lost River (Merrill, OR). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Lost River was routed by New Hope Christian (Grants Pass, OR), 56-17, in a non-league contest.
