Perryville Mustangs (Perryville, AR) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Heber Springs Panthers (Heber Springs, AR), 59-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Perryville upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Guy-Perkins (Guy, AR) to play the Thunderbirds in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Guy-Perkins lost 48-35 in their recent league bout against Wonderview (Hattieville, AR)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lonoke Jackrabbits (Lonoke, AR) in a 4A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Heber Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
