    In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Mt. Gilead Indians (Mt. Gilead, OH) basketball squad edged the visiting Utica Redskins (Utica, OH), by a margin of 44-42.

    The Indians (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Loudonville (Loudonville, OH). The Redbirds go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Loudonville held off Lexington (Lexington, OH), 71-32, in a non-league outing.

    The Redskins now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Newark Catholic for a Licking County - Cardinal outing on Friday, December 1.
