Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Ellwood City fells Union Area

November 29, 2025: Ellwood City, PA 16117

The Ellwood City Wolverine basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Union Area Scotties to 31 in the Wolverine non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wolverine now have a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Laurel for a non-league game on Monday, December 1. Ellwood City will confront a Spartans team coming off a 50-27 non-league win over Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Union Area drops to 0-2 on the year. The Scotties travel to Hickory (Hermitage, PA) to face the Hornets in a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 2. The Hornets enter the outing with a record of 0-0.
