South Spartans (Torrance, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA), 42-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, South upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to Salesian (Los Angeles, CA) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Monday, December 1. The Mustangs enter the outing with a record of 3-2. Salesian won 65-55 in their recent non-league outing against Polytechnic (Pasadena, CA)

The Lancers (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Cerritos (Cerritos, CA). The Dons enter the non-league outing with a 2-3 record. In their last outing, Cerritos was nipped by Beckman (Irvine, CA), 70-51, in a non-league game.
