Virginia High School Football - Monticello gets by Fluvanna County

November 3, 2023: Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Monticello Mustangs football squad scored 24 points and restricted the visiting Fluvanna County Flying Flucos to 22 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Spotswood for a non-league battle on Friday, November 10. Monticello will play a Trailblazers squad coming off a 35-34 league win over Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Trailblazers record now stands at 9-1.

Coming up next, the Flying Flucos play the Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, November 10. Fluvanna County will attempt to advance on its 5-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 9-0 record after their 35-14 league win over Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA).
