The Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN) football defeated the visiting Forrest Rockets (Chapel Hill, TN), 40-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Owls face the Fayetteville Tigers (Fayetteville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 10. Smith County will attempt to advance on its 9-2 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 6-5 record after their 39-14 non-league win over Monterey (Monterey, TN).
