In Friday's non-league match, the host Shelby Golden Lions football squad scored a big 62-14 victory over the Mount Pleasant Tigers.

In their next game, the Golden Lions clash with the Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 10. Shelby will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Wolves enter the match with a 6-5 record after their 35-21 non-league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC).
