The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs football team (Monroe, IA), was beaten 31-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA)

The Bulldogs (12-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Lyon/George-Little Rock (Rock Rapids, IA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 11-0 record. In their last challenge, Central Lyon/George-Little Rock achieved victory over Kuemper (Carroll, IA), 48-27, in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-3 record.
