    The Westlake Chaparrals basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Hendrickson Hawks to 32 in the Chaparrals non-league triumph on Friday.

    The Chaparrals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harlan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 7. Westlake will battle a Hawks team coming off a 60-53 non-league loss to Clark (San Antonio, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.

    The Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cedar Ridge (Round Rock, TX). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Cedar Ridge ran past St. Michael's (Austin, TX), 51-29, in a non-league contest.
