In Friday's non-league battle, the host Blue Ridge Barons soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Steward Spartans.
The Barons (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 15-1 record. In their last battle, North Cross was nudged by Blue Ridge (St. George, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
