River Dell Golden Hawks (Oradell, NJ) supporters left the game in high spirits Friday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Golden Hawks clash with the NV - Demarest Norsemen (Demarest, NJ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, November 7. River Dell will attempt to advance on its 14-4 season record. The Norsemen come into the match with a 20-4 record after their 2-0 non-league win over NV - Old Tappan (Old Tappan, NJ).

With the loss, Sparta drops to 19-2 on the campaign.
