The Triad Knights (Troy, IL) basketball nipped the host Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL), 61-56 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Knights (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Waterloo (Waterloo, IL). The Bulldogs go into the Mississippi Valley test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Waterloo was tipped by Freeburg (Freeburg, IL), 58-39, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host East Alton-Wood River for a Cahokia - Mississippi test on Friday, December 3. Columbia will encounter a Oilers squad coming off a 76-34 non-league loss to Jersey (Jerseyville, IL). The Oilers record now stands at 1-4.
