The Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) basketball crushed the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS), 64-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Golden Wave (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Pontotoc was trounced by Christ Presbyterian Academy (Nashville, TN), 81-55, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to South Pontotoc for a 4A Region 2 test on Tuesday, December 7. Ripley will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 50-38 non-league loss to Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 8-2.
