The Southern Durham Spartans basketball team scored 81 points and restricted the visiting Southern Lee Cavaliers to 33 in the Spartans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northern Durham for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 2. Southern Durham will battle a Knights team coming off a 59-44 non-league win over Vance County (Henderson, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.
The Cavaliers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC). The Jaguars come into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Overhills triumphed over Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC), 75-66, in a non-league contest.
