The Ashe County Huskies basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Mitchell Mountaineers to 52 in the Huskies non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Huskies now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Wilkes for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. Ashe County will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 58-47 non-league win over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 1-2.

The Mountaineers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Tuscola dropped by Owen (Black Mountain, NC), 58-54, in a non-league contest.
