Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets (Marriottsville, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD), 53-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Chapelgate Christian Academy upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD) to play the Vikings in a MIAA B bout on Thursday, December 1. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 0-2. St. John's Catholic Prep lost 84-53 in their recent non-league bout against Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, MD)

Next up, the Eagles play the Friends Quakers (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. McDonogh will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Quakers come into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 66-45 non-league win over Park School (Baltimore, MD).
