McArthur Mustangs (Hollywood, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hollywood Hills Spartans (Hollywood, FL), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, McArthur upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Stoneman Douglas (Parkland, FL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-0. Stoneman Douglas won 63-57 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Next up, the Spartans play the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes (Pompano Beach, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Hollywood Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 68-64 non-league loss to Everglades (Miramar, FL).
