The Desert Edge Scorpions basketball team scored 59 points and held the host South Mountain Jaguars to 36 in the Scorpions non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Scorpions now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Agua Fria for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 1.

The Jaguars (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against North (Phoenix, AZ). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, North was routed by Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ), 47-38, in a non-league contest.
