The Independence Patriots basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting North Canyon Rattlers to 46 in the Patriots league triumph on Wednesday.

The Patriots now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6.

The Rattlers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ). The Matadors enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Shadow Mountain was nudged by Cactus (Glendale, AZ), 43-26, in a non-league contest.
