The Academy Wildcats (Westminster, CO) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Thornton Trojans (Thornton, CO), 54-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, The Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Timnath (Timnath, CO) to play the Cubs in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Cubs go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Trojans play the Adams City Eagles (Commerce City, CO) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Thornton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
