The Mountaineers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tuscola for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 1. Mitchell will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 54-34 non-league win over Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-2.
The Huskies (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Blackhawks come into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, West Wilkes prevailed over East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 120-0, in a non-league battle.
