Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA), 42-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Virginia High upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Abingdon (Abingdon, VA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Rebels play the Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. Patrick Henry will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
