The Riverside-Durham Pirates (Durham, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC), 41-39 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Orange (Hillsborough, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Orange got by Franklinton (Franklinton, NC), 51-37, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Orange for a non-league test on Saturday, December 3.
