North Carolina High School Basketball - Cherokee succumbs to Franklin

November 30, 2023: Franklin, NC 28734

The Franklin Panthers topped the visiting Cherokee Braves basketball team by a final score of 77-67 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 2. Franklin will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 64-58 non-league win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC).

With the defeat, Cherokee moves to 1-1 on the year. The Braves travel to Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS) to face the Warriors in a non-league game on Thursday, December 7. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 5-3. Choctaw Central won 51-46 in their recent non-league game against South Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
