In Thursday's non-league outing, the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) basketball squad edged the host Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), by a count of 62-61.

The Golden Hawks (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates go into the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Topsail was tipped by East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC), 49-45, in a non-league outing.
