The Poteet Pirates basketball team scored 52 points and held the host MacArthur Cardinals to 40 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Horn for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Poteet will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 55-46 non-league win over Wylie East (Wylie, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-3.

The Cardinals (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Skeeters enter the non-league contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Mesquite was outscored by Guyer (Denton, TX), 81-43, in a non-league contest.
