The Grape Creek Eagles (San Angelo, TX) basketball nipped the host Anson Tigers (Anson, TX), 29-28 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Hyde Park (Austin, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, Hyde Park was tipped by Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX), 58-31, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Eastland for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Anson will encounter a Mavericks squad coming off a 63-58 non-league win over Gordon (Gordon, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 4-1.
