Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Joseph's Academy can't hold off East Ascension

The East Ascension Spartans basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers to 46 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East St. John for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. East Ascension will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 55-10 non-league win over West Jefferson (Harvey, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-1.
The Redstickers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Parkview Baptist edged Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA), 59-35, in a non-league contest.
