In Thursday's non-league outing, the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) basketball squad edged the visiting Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), by a count of 57-50.
The Spartans (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Heyworth (Heyworth, IL). The Hornets go into the non-league outing with a 3-4 record. In their last outing, Heyworth held off Urbana University (Urbana, IL), 38-15, in a non-league outing.
The Minutemen now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Calvary Christian Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 2. Lexington will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 41-16 non-league loss to Illini Central/Greenview (Mason City, IL). The Knights record now stands at 6-2.
