The Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) basketball knocked off the visiting Medina/Pingree-Buchanan (Medina, ND), 44-28 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (Waterville, MN). The Buccaneers go into the AA Section 2 test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown went down by Sleepy Eye (Sleepy Eye, MN), 61-41, in a non-league test.
The now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Oakes for a non-league test on Saturday, December 2. Medina/Pingree-Buchanan will encounter a Tornadoes squad coming off a 65-26 non-league win over South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] (Wishek, ND). The Tornadoes record now stands at 1-0.
