Iowa High School Basketball - Marshalltown knocked off by Newton

The Newton Cardinals basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Marshalltown Bobcats to 33 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Indianola for a Little Hawkeye contest on Friday, December 1. Newton will battle a Indians team coming off a 75-34 non-league loss to Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Indians record now stands at 0-2.
The Bobcats (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Urbandale (Urbandale, IA). The J-Hawks enter the Central Iowa Metro - Central contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Urbandale was defeated by Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA), 75-33, in a non-league contest.
