Arizona High School Basketball - North Canyon holds off Shadow Mountain

November 30, 2023: Phoenix, AZ 85028

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Canyon Rattlers (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Shadow Mountain Matadors (Phoenix, AZ), saw North Canyon's basketball squad hold off Shadow Mountain by a tally of 42-37.

With the victory, North Canyon improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to Ironwood (Glendale, AZ) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 4. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Ironwood won 54-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Boulder Creek (Anthem, AZ)

Next up, the Matadors confront the Westwood Warriors (Mesa, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. Shadow Mountain will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 41-39 non-league loss to Murrieta Mesa (Murrieta, CA).
