Rosepine Eagles (Rosepine, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 61-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rosepine upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Eagles host Hicks (Leesville, LA) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Hicks won 77-52 in their recent non-league bout against Florien (Florien, LA)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Ruston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 53-40 non-league win over Weston (Jonesboro, LA).
