St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Scotus Shamrocks (Columbus, NE), 39-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. Cecilia upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bluehawks travel to Bishop Neumann (Wahoo, NE) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Bishop Neumann won 42-38 in their recent non-league bout against North Bend Central (North Bend, NE)

Next up, the Shamrocks play the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays (West Point, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Scotus will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Bluejays come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 68-21 non-league win over Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE).
