Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Uintah Utes (Vernal, UT) and the visiting Emery Spartans (Castle Dale, UT), saw Uintah's basketball squad hold off Emery by a tally of 41-40.
With the victory, Uintah improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Utes travel to Wasatch (Heber City, UT) to confront the Wasps in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Wasps come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Spartans confront the Wasatch Wasps (Heber City, UT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. Emery will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.
