Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 64-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hough upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 1. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 3-0. North Gaston won 51-34 in their recent non-league bout against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC)

Next up, the Chargers play the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Cox Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 51-47 non-league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).
