North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg beaten by Independence

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Independence Patriots basketball team scored a good 64-55 triumph over the South Mecklenburg Sabres.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 4. Independence will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Pirates enter the match with a 2-1 record after their 49-29 non-league loss to Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC).

With the defeat, South Mecklenburg moves to 3-2 on the year. The Sabres host Olympic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, December 8. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 0-2. Olympic lost 42-39 in their recent non-league match against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC)
